Two Thomas the Tank Engine Tracks for Younger Kids

Yesterday I talked about the Thomas and Friends Zip, Zoom, and Logging Adventure Electric Train Track.  It is a fun track, but mainly for older kids.  However, there are two tracks for younger kids that are a part of my household.  They are Thomas' Busy Day and the battery powered Sir Topham Hatt Figure 8 electric train set.  I would recommend both for toddlers who might enjoy a Thomas the Tank Engine electric train set.

Thomas' Busy Day is your basic Thomas the Train track.  It is just a simple oval with a train station that attaches to the track.  An electric Thomas chugs along the track and can be stopped at the train station with the changing of a switch.  Toddlers (or at least my toddler) really enjoyed being able to make Thomas start and stop at the train station.  Also, like all of the Thomas the Train track sets, Thomas can be turned on and off by a simple switch.  This switch mesmerizes little kids.  My son would turn Thomas off and on so much that we eventually had to make him stop, it was annoying us so much.  However, I would highly recommend this track to anyone.

The Sir Topham Hatt Figure 8 set is also a good one.  I have two problems, however, with it.  The first is that since it is a figure 8, the youngsters will not be able to assemble the track by themselves.  Not a big deal, but it can be a pain to have to assemble the track when you are trying to do something else around the house.  The other problem is that not all Thomas and Friends toy cars fit under the bridge.  You might have to prop the bridge up so that everyone can fit safely under.  But even with these two drawbacks, my son really enjoyed this Thomas the Tank Engine electric train set.  It was fun watching Thomas go over the bridge, and it was fun to use Sir Topham Hatt as the switch to make Thomas stop.

Do you have any experience with either of these two Thomas the Tank Engine track sets?  What were your experiences?
